Check out some of these professional models facial espressions for your inspiration:
How To /// achieve the face.

Below are some demonstrations of 'facial expressions' and how to achieve thier look. Paired with a pose, one can create endless possibilties!

Happy

How To:#1
Position your head directly towards camera and smile with your mouth parted so only a little bit of your teeth show. Position your eyes to the right and look up.

How To:#2
Tilt head a little away from camera. Put a hint of a smile on and gaze into the sky [[or ceiling]] with convincing emotion.

How To:#3
Tilt head slightly upwards to the right, and give a little smile.

How To:#4
Look to the upwards right and bite your cheeks in while you smile a weeee bit.

Sad

How To:#5
Turn your head to the left and look downwards. Frown your mouth just a little bit, but don't wrinkle your face.

How To: #6
Turn head towards right side, lean towards the right, and look towards the right. Smirk a little bit and squint your eyes as well.

Serious

How To: #7
Look straight towards the camera's lens. Tilt your head just barely downward & put an intense look in your eyes.

How To:#8
Turn your head straight towards the camera and tilt it downwards. Raise one eyebrow while keeping your face relaxed [this takes some practice]

How To: #9
Look straight at the camera without tilting your head. Squint your eyes and relax your lips.

How To:#10
Look to the right and tilt head to the upper right. Relax & part your lips & longen your neck.

How To: #11
Look to your right & tilt your head down. Relax your lips and give a hint of a smile to the camera.

What NOT to do

What Went Wrong:<
Head is tilted to an extreme & one can easily see up her nose. Smile looks unrealistic and almost angry. Do not attempt this one during a photoshoot.

What Went Wrong:
While this could have been a nice pose, Natalie had no passion in the eyes, and gave the camera what we like to call 'The Blank Stare'. Avoid this one at all costs.
